Today was great! After not getting my mattress due to snow, I decided to beat the winter blues by escaping to warmth and beautiful nature! Off I went to Phipps Conservatory at Schenley Park. It was absolutely wonderful! I kept taking deep, deep breaths of the wonderful warm air that smelled like flowers and plants. Did I mention it was awesome? I highly recommend to anyone needing a break from winter! There were a few moments when I forgot it was winter outside, and admittedly, the moments when I realized that it was were a little depressing.
They had a stand with information about some flesh-eating plant. I don’t really know what it’s called or what it’s deal is, but I put my finger in it and have lived to tell the story (picture below)! My finger did have a weird, sticky substance on it afterwards though. I bet little bugs don’t stand a chance!
