I learned this winter that it is illegal to reserve parking spaces with chairs. Even still, during the Snowmageddon, I can understand reserving a space that you spent an hour or two digging out because if someone took it, there would have been no parking for you anywhere.
Now fast forward a month later. Imagine no more snow on the streets or in parking spaces. Imagine 60 degrees. Imagine those same chairs occupying at least every other empty parking space. Now you have an accurate picture of Pittsburgh during the daytime.
So when I was parking on a street with only one free space and it was inhabited by 2 chairs, I was SO excited to seize the opportunity to show people that their chairs weren’t going to help them. While on my cell phone, I parked my car in the street, got out, moved the chairs, and parallel parked myself. VICTORY! bwahaha
